Eastern State Penitentiary Door Kids T-Shirt

Inside the haunted walls of the Eastern State Penitentiary in downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, one will feel the weight of history immediately. This door is a remnant of the past and stands to remind us of the history of prisons here in the United States and throughout the world. It is a fascinating place to visit. This picture was taken down one of the many halls. This door leads to one of the courtyards. While admiring its picturesque beauty today, I couldn't help but wonder how many guards passed through these doors. Did prisoners pass through? What were they thinking at the time and what was life like for those who worked and lived within these halls?

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California, but I'm a country girl at heart. I am happiest when hiking in the mountains or wandering through green open fields.
